Thinking About Test Questions (and Choosing Interactions) According to Task Type
Why and how to proctor an assessment
Candidates sitting traditional tests, be they exams leading to official qualifications or just internal end-of-year tests, would be surprised if they were left alone in the room without supervision.
One of the crucial elements of running tests the way TAO does is ensuring the integrity and validity of tests which are delivered outside of the normal school hall or classroom scenario. The way this is done is to allow these assessments to be proctored.
There are two methods in which TAO assessment deliveries can be proctored: on-site and remote. Both of them allow assessment administrators to monitor and manage the test session, or delivery.
This course gives a short introduction to both of these methods, and discusses the reasons for choosing one over the other.
