How does scoring work in TAO? (II)
The traditional method
The traditional way to deliver a test (execute the delivery) is to set up groups of test-takers locally (i.e. on the same TAO instance) and assign the delivery you have created to them. As soon as this is done, they can start the test.
Using this method, the delivery needs to be assigned to test-takers on the same screen as you set the constraints in the lesson Setting constraints for the execution of your delivery: the properties page of the delivery. Once again, open the delivery you have created, and the properties screen will come up. This time, define the groups of test-takers who are to take the assessment in the Assigned to box.
Information on registering test-takers can be found in the section on Test-takers in the User Guide. Details on assigning them to groups can be found in the section on Groups.
Note: It is not possible to assign test-takers directly to deliveries: they need to be assigned to groups which are then assigned to deliveries (even if there is only one test-taker in a group). You can, though, assign a group and then exclude certain test-takers from that group, so in effect, you are reducing it to a list of test-takers which you want to assign to that delivery.
