Conclusion

Summary of Part 2

In Part 2 we talked about the workflow involved in a typical small-scale authoring scenario, and how the different members of Gwen's team would carry out the tasks entrusted to them, from preparing the questions and topics needed for the desired test items - making backups to ensure no work is lost - all the way to the finished test which can be delivered to students.

This involved the item authors Ian, Iris and their colleagues producing test items - either individually or collaboratively - which were then made available to the test author, Tessa, who assembled and test-ran the test using one of the three methods available to check everything was working. Now that you've looked at the whole process in detail, you may want to have another look at the flowchart in the first chapter.

The next and final lesson gives a short summary of the full course.
