Thinking About Test Questions (and Choosing Interactions) According to Task Type
Specifying the interface language of a test-taker
When you register a test-taker in TAO you will need to specify an interface language for them. See the chapter Creating test-takers in the User Guide for information on how to do this.
The language you select as the interface language determines the language of the assessment environment in which tests are delivered to that test-taker. For example, if the interface language chosen is a right-to-left (RTL) language – such as Arabic or Hebrew – then the whole environment will appear in that language (in RTL mode) when that test-taker takes a test.
In the image below you can see the details of a new test-taker called Ahmed Fahmi. The interface language which has been specified for Ahmed is Arabic.
Adding a test-taker for Arabic
In the next lesson we will look at the interface which Ahmed will see when he logs in to take a test.
