Remote Proctoring

How does remote proctoring work?

Remote proctoring is the second option for proctoring in TAO. It is carried out externally to TAO.

Remote proctoring technology is driven by AI, and flags up potentially suspicious behavior by identifying test-taker actions such as navigating away from the test, resizing the browser, scrolling, clicking, copy and paste, as well as other factors such as head and eye movement, registering multiple faces in front of the screen and also the audio levels in the room. These activities are used to establish a level of suspicion. In most remote proctoring solutions the test administrator can configure the point at which the test-taker’s behavior should be flagged as suspicious.
