Configuring the Language
If you want to create test materials in a RTL language, you will need to configure each test item (i.e. test questions and informational items) you create for the language you want to use. This is because language settings are defined at item level in TAO. Setting the language automatically sets the writing direction of your item: left-to-right or right-to-left, depending on the language you’ve chosen - in other words, if you select a RTL language, TAO switches to RTL mode.
You can configure the language of your item in Item Properties. For more information on how to do this, see the chapter Item Language in the User Guide.
Note: The default language is English, and the default language direction is left-to-right (LTR).
