Thinking About Test Questions (and Choosing Interactions) According to Task Type
Available optional features
The features described in this section are divided into categories according to the area of TAO they are used in and the type of user they are relevant to - ranging from those users creating test materials to those analysing test results in wider educational circles. They will be described in greater detail in the coming lessons.
The categories are:
- Authoring tests (for item and test authors)
- Delivering tests (for assessment providers)
- Taking tests (for test-takers)
- Processing results (for both assessment providers and education analysts)
- TAO architecture and platform configuration (for TAO administrators)
Each of these categories contains sub-categories (in the first, for example, there is one for features relevant to item authoring, and another for those relevant to test authoring, etc.).
The features available for authors of test materials are described in this section, as well as information about which of the TAO products they are enabled in.
They are divided into three sub-categories, which contain the features (and the extensions required for them) used in:
- Item authoring only (including the use of assets in items)
- Test authoring only
- Both item and test authoring
