Add search criteria
Click on the button add criteria in the left-hand panel.
Note: This functionality is only available on Elastic Search.
The drop-down menu provided under add criteria gives a list of the properties used in the class (folder) you’ve selected, and all the folders in it. In other words, you can see which properties have been used to describe the items (such as difficulty, language, etc). You can specify any of these properties as your search criterion.
Each property used in TAO is of a certain type. If you select as a search criterion a property whose values have already been defined, you will see a list of possible values for that field, and you will need to specify (at least) one of them. For example, the property type defined for language is a drop-down menu, so if you select language as a search criteria you will see a drop-down menu with a list of possible languages you will need to choose from.
You may want to enter multiple search criteria. If you do so, your search query needs to match both of your criteria. For example, if you have specified 'Canada' as a title and 'French' as a language, both of these conditions need to be fulfilled to match a particular item in your search.
