Types and Formats of Assets in TAO

The following lists tell you what media types can be stored in the Asset Manager, and what (electronic) format they need to be in. They are divided into images, audio resources, video resources, and passages.

Images: png, jpg, gif, svg, svgz

Audio recordings: mp3, ogg, vorbis, webm, mpeg, aac, .wav  

Video clips: mp4, avi, ogv, mpeg, ogg, quicktime, webm, x-ms-wmv, x-flv

Passages:  xml

Note: It is possible to store pdf documents in the Asset Manager too. These can contain either just text or images.
