Canvas

George will prepare the components of his assessment on the canvas.

The TAO Glossary defines Canvas as "The main area in the middle of the screen for the user to define the contents of Items, Tests, etc".

With the TAO term Canvas, there is a risk of confusing it with the now well-established learning management platform of the same name. A canvas (in TAO) is sometimes also called a Pane. Canvas and pane refer to the same thing. In word processing scenarios such as Microsoft Word, the equivalent term is document.
